MinGW: A collection of freely available and freely distributable
Windows specific header files and import libraries combined with GNU toolsets
that allow one to produce native Windows programs that do not rely on any
3rd-party DLLs.
MSYS: A Minimal SYStem to allow the typical POSIX/Bourne
configure script to execute to create a Makefile so that you can execute make.

WinZip Caution:
Make sure that you first uncheck the "TAR file smart CR/LF conversion"
checkbox found in the Configuration -> Miscellaneous tab of the Options
menu.
7-Zip
We've found that this zip/unzip utility is fast and reliable
for differing compression algorithms. If you need a decompression utility,
you should visit 7-Zip for
the latest version. If you don't need a compression/decompression utility,
I suggest you visit 7-Zipfor
one of the best compression algorithms available.
